This is my song of the week:

Powder Blue by Elbow from the album “Asleep in the Back”

Stumble through the crowds together, they’re trying to ignore us. That’s o.k. I’m proud to be the one you hold when the shakes begin

This song is just pure haunting. The arrangement, especially the piano and Guy Garvey’s voice blends together so well while the lyrics, sung from the perspective of someone comforting his junkie lover, is both chilling and poignant.

It’s my opinion that Nirvana writes the best songs.
